President’s Listening Tour Seeks UHD Community’s Input
Student Forum Kicks Off Series on April 20, Other Sessions to Follow
By Mark Kramer

University of Houston-Downtown President Loren J. Blanchard wants to hear from you.
The President’s Listening Tour will provide an opportunity for the UHD Community to share thoughts, ideas and visions for the University during a series of forums being held virtually and at limited in-person events through June as well as via survey.
The first forum will be held exclusively for students in a virtual event at 10 a.m., Tuesday April 20. The schedule of all the sessions for faculty, staff and students and registration information are available on the Listening Tour website and are listed below. You may attend your choice of virtual or limited in-person sessions.
President Blanchard said these meetings will not only help familiarize him with the University, but to further connect him with the campus community that he's heard so much about.
"When I interviewed for this position, I met with faculty, staff and students who informed me of the tight-knit, family atmosphere at UHD," he said in a UHD Magazine interview. "There's a great sense of care that strongly compelled me to be a part of this institution. I want to ensure that the University extends this caring culture to the Greater Houston community, so that we can together reach new levels of excellence across multiple fronts."
