Presidential Search Update

Dear UHD Community,

As you’re aware, a national search is now under way for the next University of Houston-Downtown President.

The first round of candidates soon will be scheduled for video interviews the week of Nov. 1 and on-site visits are scheduled for the week of Nov. 15. A timeline with these interview dates and other search details can be found on the UHD Presidential Search Website.

The official search for UHD’s next President began this summer. A search committee was appointed by University of Houston System Chancellor Dr. Renu Khator. This committee, led by University of Houston-Victoria President Dr. Robert K. “Bob” Glenn, was formed in July and includes members of the UHD Community; community members and supporters; and University of Houston System leaders.

The University of Houston System secured the services of Anthem Executive to support this search. The Texas-based Anthem Executive is a leader in executive searches for higher education and academic medicine. It has led several successful searches for chancellors, presidents and provosts, as well as academic and executive positions at noted institutions throughout the nation.

Further updates on the UHD Presidential Search will be made available through UHD News, Gator Update, the search website, and other University communications.
