President Flores Speaks about International Education at HCC

As part of UHD's ongoing sponsorship of and participation in Citizenship Month, and in conjunction with International Education Week, President Flores recently spoke about international education and students at Houston Community College.

During the "Global Luncheon," Dr. Flores noted some key statistics about HCC's international student population, including the fact that HCC has more international students than any other community college in the nation. He also highlighted UHD's commitment to international education.

"UHD also welcomes international students for many reasons. They bring their global perspectives and cultural strengths to our classrooms. They educate American students and open their eyes to new worlds and they contribute to UHD's strength as one of the most diverse universities in the U.S."

UHD is a proud, primary sponsor of Houston Citizenship Month. Dr. Flores serves as an honorary co-chair and Dr. Noel Bezette-Flores, executive director of the UHD Center for Public Service and Family Strengths, serves as a co-chair for the initiative.
