New Graduate Admission Application Makes It a Breeze to Apply

Summary

By Marie Jacinto

Interested in one of UHD’s 12 master’s programs? UHD just streamlined the graduate school application experience through a new application as part of the Slate CRM tool.

UHD joins the more than 1,400 universities worldwide that have implemented Slate by Technolutions, a software development firm that specializes in the research, design, and development of information management systems serving the higher education industry.

Villanueva “As of the first day of class, UHD showed a 10% growth in new graduate student enrollment this fall, and we continue to hear directly from graduate students about their growing interest in our programs,” said Dr. Daniel Villanueva, Vice President of Enrollment Management. “We remain committed to not only increasing graduate enrollment but also streamlining the application experience. This implementation underscores the University’s commitment to ensure graduate enrollment continues to grow.”

Through Slate, prospective graduate students can complete the entire admissions process—from making an inquiry to submitting their application, completing checklist items, and receiving their admissions decision—all on one user-friendly platform, without undue stress.

“This implementation is a testament to the power of collaboration,” continued Villanueva. “Enrollment Management worked with each individual UHD college to customize applications, communication plans, and functional set-ups to provide a tailored experience for prospective graduate students. We also worked alongside our University of Houston System colleagues, especially Senior Application Lead Cynthia Ustoy, as they supported the technical aspect of the implementation.”
