Summary

By Mark Kramer

If you’re flipping through the television channels, you may see the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) in the spotlight.

UHD’s new commercial, “On the Move to Finish UHD Strong,” showcases a busy day in the life of the university’s diverse group of students involved in a variety of academics, as well as art, theater, club sports and many other student activities – with background music in sync to a progressive beat.

Also featured in the video are UHD theater performers, members of the Women’s Club Soccer Team, the Gator mascot and UHD President, Dr. Juan Sánchez Muñoz.

Produced by the Office of University Relations, this is the fourth commercial created in the past three years for UHD.

“The UHD culture is vibrant and diverse,” said Elisa Olsen, executive director of University Relations. “We wanted to highlight the energy and the dynamic nature of our campus, as well as a balance of academics and student life. We truly wanted to show that UHD is a university on the move.”

The commercial is airing now through March 2020 on 12 stations via Comcast/Xfinity and AT&T U-Verse throughout Greater Houston. In addition, the spot may be viewed on UHD’s YouTube channel.
