Nearly 20 New Gators Receive Merit Scholarships at Scholars Day Invitational

As a part of a White House initiative regarding university signing days, UHD recently held its Scholars Day Invitational for several top high school graduates.

During the event, the University granted merit scholarships to 19 students -- each in the top quartile of their graduating class -- who committed to attend UHD in the fall.

The students also learned about honor societies, honor programs and other opportunities available for UHD undergraduates.

In addition to the scholarships awarded, President Bill Flores provided all students who signed a commitment letter with a $250 bookstore voucher.
