National Novel Writing Month Comes to UHD
The W.I. Dykes Library is excited to announce its participation in this year's National Novel Writing Month.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is an international event that challenges writers to create a 50,000 word novel in the 30 days of November! You don't have to be talented or published. You don't have to be a writing major and there are no required courses! You just need a plot, imagination and something to write on (or with).
A dedicated team of would-be writers is already busy planning events designed to inspire and entertain beginning in mid-October, including a brainstorming pre-NaNoWriMo event in UHD's O'Kane Gallery, and weekly "write-ins" at the 40,000 Windows Cafe during the month of November.
Visit the National Novel Writing Month website for more information on this creative challenge and make plans to attend one of our two information meetings set for the second week of October:
Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. in room N-414 & Thursday, Oct. 10, at 2:30 p.m. in room N-414
All faculty, staff or students are invited to join us as we race for the finish line with our pens and laptops!
