Next week, UHD will welcome David Crist to campus. Crist is a nationally-recognized scholar and expert on the Middle East, and is currently serving as a senior historian in the Pentagon.

Crist has written and published extensively about United States foreign policy in the Persian Gulf. His most recent book, "The Twilight War: The Secret History of America's Thirty-Year Conflict with Iran" is based upon fifteen years of research and unparalleled access to senior officials and key documents of several U.S. administrations. An expert on Iran and defense issues, he is a frequent advisor to senior government and military officials in the Middle East.

His presentation on "The Middle East Today", will take place on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 4:00 - 5:15 p.m. in the Cullen Auditorium.
