MDCOB Hosts Latina POWER Purse Program April 22

All Staff & Students Eligible to Apply for Scholarships

Join the Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) and Power on Heels Fund Inc. on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Latina POWER Purse Program, a half-day workshop designed to enhance and enrich skills, expand opportunities, and advance careers for Latinas. The event will be offered via Zoom and registration is free!

According to the event invitation, facilitators will focus on three key areas for individual and organizational growth:

  • Key Area 1: Emotional Intelligence Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to understand and manage your own emotions and those of the people around you.
  • Key Area 2: Leadership This session will focus on the link between perceptions, innovation, and leadership. We will explore leadership best practices and exchange ideas and new strategies for creating environments that foster growth, teach how to act with confidence, and explain how to lead with lasting impact.
  • Key Area 3: Financial Mastery The lack of financial resources can no longer impede your ability to succeed. By developing a greater understanding of finances and by creating a comprehensive financial plan for the future, we can change lives.

Who should attend? All UHD women are invited to register and attend. Students and staff who wish to be considered for a Power on Heels Fund scholarship must complete this workshop as part of the application process.
