May Is National Bike Month: Gators, Let’s Get Biking!

Did you know that Houston boasts 345 miles of biking opportunities from bike routes to shared lanes to multi-use paths?

Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Commute (H-GAC) Solutions’ Inaugural Bike Month is May 1-31. The Bike Month Challenge is inviting workplaces and community members to swap cars for handlebars to improve their health and the environment.

How to participate:

  • Register. It’s totally free.
  • Ride your bike for 10 minutes or more. A ride around the park counts!
  • Log your ride online or do it via the Love to Ride app.
  • Spread the bike love by encouraging friends, coworkers, and family members to join.
  • Win great prizes!
