We have lost someone who is dear to us all. Janet Heitmiller, director of community relations in Student Activities, passed away last week. Janet loved UHD - organizing conferences and events was her passion and UHD was her life. She served as our ambassador, opening UHD to the community and transforming meeting rooms into magnificent venues for events. She warmly greeted newcomers to our campus, making everyone feel at home. She touched our lives with her smile and her courage, even as she fought her illness.
