Informational Assembly on the FY15 Budget and Planning Process
The University Planning and Budget Development Committee (PBDC) will hold an Informational Assembly for all interested faculty, staff and students on Thursday, April 10, from 2:30 - 4 p.m. in Room A405.
The purpose of this assembly is to promote transparency and provide information on the budget planning process for the FY15 University budget. All University faculty, staff and students represent stakeholders in the budget planning process. University stakeholders should be well-informed on how existing resources are spent, and how future dollars are generated, prioritized, and allocated in the context of the general operation of the University, and the strategic priorities of the University.
A tentative agenda for the assembly includes:
1). Opening remarks and information about the committee structure, evolution/operation of the budget planning process, and future recommendations for the process by the Committee Chair: Jerry Johnson.
2). Resource/Revenue overview (State Support in year two of the biennium; BOR-approved tuition/fee increase; growth money; use of one-time-funds; reallocations; and more.) by David Bradley, vice president for Administration and Finance.
3). Presentation of top priorities of the FY15 budget (Proposed use of new and reallocated funds in FY15; how PBDC recommendations align with strategic plan/priorities; progress card; and more.) by Ed Hugetz, senior vice president for Academic Affairs and Provost.
4). Question & answer session.
