High School Communication Students Tune into UHD

Recently, publications students from B.F. Terry High School visited the University of Houston-Downtown where they toured the new iRadio station and met with communications students, faculty and staff to learn more about a future in journalism and communications. Students also toured the campus. The visit was coordinated by Crystal Guillory, assistant dean of College of Humanities & Social Sciences, and Abigail Koenig, lecturer of Arts & Communication.

"It was a different experience than most college tours," said B.F. Terry High School junior Sidney Sorto. "You could tell the advisers really cared for their job and students. Everyone seems to know each other. The students who took us on the tour were very interested in us majoring in communications with the University of Houston-Downtown."
