Gender, Diversity Training Set for May 26 in Welcome Center

On May 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) will host an interactive workshop designed to improve your understanding of gender and sexual diversity while offering guidance on how to serve Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) clients and students.

The workshop will be conducted in the Welcome Center and feature sexologist and educator Dr. Laura McGuire, Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Program Manager at the University of Houston's Women and Gender Resource Center; and Dr. Jace Valcore, UHD assistant professor of criminal justice and queer scholar.

The event is open to the University community. To attend, please register. Space is limited.
