Gators, Prep Your Tastebuds: The UHD Chili Cook-Off Is Friday, April 28

UHD’s Annual Chili Cook-Off is back Friday, April 28, on the South Deck. A family-friendly event, the Cook-Off is open to the entire UHD community. Join in the food, fun, and tasting from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 28, on the South Deck

Complimentary tasting tickets are available online until 5 p.m. Monday, April 24. Ticket includes a chili-tasting kit, a soft drink, water, and a dessert. Complimentary beer for the 21+ crowd will be provided by Saint Arnold ​Brewing Company beginning at 4 p.m. (Limit three beers per guest.)

Attendees can put their tastebuds to work and determine who gets the coveted title of People’s Choice Chili and Best Décor, both of which include a $50 gift card. 

An expert panel of judge ’buds will determine which team wins first, second, and third place for Best Chili:

  • 1st place: $300 gift card
  • 2nd place: $200 gift card
  • 3rd place: $100 gift card

Judges begin tasting chili at 3:30 p.m. Event attendees may vote on Best Décor and People’s Choice Chili from 4 to 6 p.m.
