Gator Leadership Academy Applications Due Feb. 25

gator leadership academyThe Student Transition And Retention (STAR) program has an exciting leadership development opportunity for UHD students.

Gator Leadership Academy will prepare students to assume leadership responsibility across UHD's campus and within the community by equipping participants with leadership skills and a basic understanding of how to create positive, sustainable change. Workshops will cover topics like organizational values, motivation, relationship building, accountability, and conflict management.

The event will take place in two sections; students can choose the cohort that best fits their schedule.

Cohort 1 will meet Feb. 26 and March 5, from 5-8 p.m.

Cohort 2 will meet Feb. 27 and March 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Graduation for both cohorts will take place March 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

All meetings will take place in room C100.

Participants who complete both sessions will receive a certificate and priority consideration for various leadership opportunities across campus to include Gator Guides, Orientation Team, Campus Activities Board (CAB), Student Government Association (SGA), UHD Ambassadors, Sports and Fitness involvement opportunities, LeaderShape Institute, and student employment opportunities.

Faculty who want to make a recommendation should direct students to apply online. Applications are due Feb. 25
