Fine Arts Fest 2014 Features Mural, Theater and More!

It is that time of the year! The Department of Arts and Humanities has organized a whole week of art events for the Fine Arts Fest, April 7 to 11. Mural project, comedy night, open rehearsals, theatre activities, photo fest, BAFA rally, presentations and lectures are only some of the activities we'll have open to all the UHD community.

Volunteers are needed to support the public mural project Leave your Mark, which will be a canvas in the third floor of the Academic Building, where students, staff and professors can leave behind a message about the impact that UHD has in their life. People can sign the canvas with their name or draw pictures or any other visual representation that "leaves behind" their presence in our academic community.

We need volunteers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7-10 to take care of the materials we will provide to participants (chalk and markers), "watch" the mural, and give short explanations to people who is interested in knowing more about the activity.

Volunteers will get a Fine Arts Festival 2014 certificate of participation. Contact Gaby Hernandez, assistant graphic design professor, for information about volunteering.
