FBI Expert to Present Cybersecurity Best Practices

cyberCybersecurity threats are rising, and cyber-crimes are increasingly affecting individuals, institutions and governments worldwide.

In support of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), the Department of Information Technology of the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) will again host the presentation, "Cyber Threats to Universities and Individuals." The event will feature guest speaker Orlan D. Stream, an FBI Houston task force member.

Streams will lead the discussion that will help educate students, faculty and staff about computer security issues and how to deal with them. The presentation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 18, in room GSB 302 (Welcome Center).
