FBI Expert to Present Cyber Safety Workshop for Faculty, Staff

Businesses and customers are increasingly affected by cyber crimes. As the holiday season approaches, cyber security is a rising topic of concern.

How are University employees uniquely exposed to cyber attackers because of their work? How can employees and consumers protect themselves in today's cyber environment? Faculty and staff are invited to get answers to these questions and more during a forum with guest speaker James Morrison.

The forum, entitled "Stay Safe Online: Cyber Safety for the Holidays and Beyond," will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 in room N1099.

Morrison is a computer scientist with the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Houston Division with more than 25 years of IT experience. He serves as a local technical expert to the Special Agents and Task Force Officers assigned to the Houston Area Cyber Crimes Task Force.
