ESO to Present Session at National Conference in September

The Department of Employment Services and Operations recently submitted a proposal for a presentation to the College and University Professional Association - Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the organization's upcoming annual conference - and the proposal was accepted.

The Department will present "Your Road M.A.P. (Modernizing and Advancing Performance) to Employee Success," at the annual conference, which provides higher education HR professionals from around the world the opportunity to connect and learn, in San Antonio in September.

According to Ivonne Montalbano, "CUPA-HR, is 'THE' association for HR professionals in higher education, and provides leadership on higher education workplace issues in the U.S. and abroad. They monitor trends, explore emerging workforce issues, conduct research and promote strategic discussions among colleges and universities."

According to a CUPA-HR representative, the UHD ESO presentation "was selected by the Learning and Professional Development Committee not only because it aligns with CUPA-HR's Learning Framework, but also because [the] topic offers insight and knowledge that we hope will benefit our attendees."

Presentation description:

This session will provide participants with a road M.A.P. (Modernizing and Advancing Performance) to successfully engage and improve employee performance. As technology and the workforce evolve, we must have performance management systems and tools in place that can keep up with these changes. The challenge becomes how do we create systems that will work for various generational groups, different management styles, different levels of technical knowledge, and the wide range of fields that may exist within an organization? Learn how to facilitate year-round communication, streamline organizational goals, link career development to training, increase employee accountability and engagement.
