ESO to Host Benefits Info Sessions

The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS), which administers health and other insurance benefits for State of Texas employees, will hold its annual enrollment period for Plan Year 2016-2017 from July 24 to August 6, 2016.

During the annual enrollment period, employees can make changes to their benefits portfolios without a qualifying life event, including adding or dropping health, life or disability insurance or make other changes to insurance coverage as needed. Prior to the annual enrollment period, ERS will mail a Personal Benefits Enrollment Statement to all benefits‐eligible employees.

If an employee wishes to maintain their current level of coverage, no action is needed.

Changes may be made during the annual enrollment period in one of three ways: online by visiting ERS, by calling ERS at 1-866-399‐6908, or scheduling an appointment with Paula Jannett, UHD Employment Services and Operations (ESO) benefits and compensation coordinator, and completing the required 2016 summer enrollment form.

ESO will hold two "Get the Scoop" information sessions: Thursday, July 14 from 2-3:30 p.m., and Friday, July 15 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the UHD Welcome Center, Milam Room. Online registration is encouraged.
