Dr. Jimmy Jung Named New Vice President of Enrollment Management

Dr. Jimmy Jung has been named Vice President of Enrollment Management at the University of Houston-Downtown. In this role, Dr. Jung will provide leadership, management, strategic direction and administrative oversight for enhancing student access and enrollment services. He will officially start at UHD on June 1 and report to the Office of Academic & Student Affairs.

"I am very excited to join the University of Houston-Downtown as the Vice President of Enrollment Management,” he said. “I strongly believe in the mission of UHD and I look forward to working with President Muñoz and Provost Link to serve the Houston community.”

Dr. Jung currently serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at New Jersey City University. His prior roles include serving as Vice President for Enrollment Management at the University of Maine; Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management at The College at Brockport (State University of New York); and Executive Director for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at Baruch College (City University of New York).

He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, specializing in Quantitative Methods & Evaluation from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Dr. Jung also holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from The City College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hunter College.

In addition to his numerous administrative roles, Dr. Jung has served as a professor at several institutions and as a consultant for colleges and universities across the nation.

Dr. Jung was identified as the next Vice President of Enrollment Management following a national search led by a UHD committee chaired by University College Dean, Dr. Scott Marzilli.
