Criminal Justice Cadets Collect Valentine's Day Treats for HTT

Rex White, director of the criminal justice training center, and the cadets of Basic Peace Officer Course (BPOC) #283 aided with the annual Valentine's Day collection for the children and siblings at House of Tiny Treasures. The cadets assembled 50 bags with water and other treats with a special card signed by the cadet class. CHTC provides students with preparatory training in the law enforcement profession for certification as a basic peace officer in the State of Texas and is dedicated to excellence through its rigorous coursework and practical application exercises. Each cadet class participates in community engagement projects during their training at UHD.

Paulette Purdy, director of college administration and operations in the College of Public Service, said, "These cadets, so new they didn't even have uniforms yet, took the time out of their day to make some children feel very special. Hats off, BPOC#283!"CJ Training Class BPOC283
