Covia Health Information Sessions Rescheduled

The Covia Health informational sessions, sponsored by the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD), have been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. in room N602.

Those interested in learning more about 3-D mammography or bone density screenings should register for one of the two sessions at Covia Health. Light refreshments will be provided.

Covia Health will bring the most advanced 3-D mammography technology to UHD on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6. Their 50-foot mobile screening suite will be parked on campus to provide screenings to eligible UHD employees and their spouses. Each appointment takes approximately 20 minutes. Confidential results will be sent to each patient or their preferred health care provider.

Eligibility

Employees may be eligible if they are insured, or 40 years and older and haven't had a mammogram in the past 12 months.

(Note: Some insurance carriers cover one baseline mammogram between the ages of 35-39 at 100 percent)
