UHD Faculty Member Natacha Poggio Earns Fulbright Scholar Award
UHD News recently announced that Natacha Poggio, Assistant Professor of Arts & Communication in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, was named a Fulbright Alternate.
Last week, Poggio received the news she’d been hoping for: her candidate status had changed from “Alternate” to “Selected” for the 2022 - 2023 Fulbright.
As a Fulbrighter, Poggio will head to Guayaquil, Ecuador — a port city known as a gateway to the Galapagos Islands — where she will be working with students at the Universidad de las Artes. Her dream is to empower students and community members to become informed environmental advocates.
Poggio will travel to Ecuador not once but twice in 2022 — first in the summer to execute a project under a Sappi Ideas That Matter Grant, then again in the fall to conduct her Fulbright project.
