College of Public Service Welcomes New Members to College Advisory Council

The College of Public Service (CPS) is steadfast in its community engagement efforts that to provide its students with the knowledge, tools and humanistic practices they need to facilitate the advancement of diverse constituents and effective resolutions for public service.

To that end, CPS’ College Advisory Council offers an important service to the College’s vision and mission.

“The College Advisory Council provides a great service to the College of Public Service,” said Dr. Jonathan Schwartz, Dean of CPS. “As a community-engaged College, we strive to elevate the voices of our community partners and find new ways to support our students. Our highly qualified Advisory Council provides important feedback and guidance assisting us in meeting our College goals and the Council subcommittees focus on fundraising and community engagement.” 

Recently, CPS welcomed three new members to its College Advisory Council:

Quincy Boyd, Regional Director for Leadership ISD

Thao Costis, President & CEO of SEARCH Homeless Services

Dr. Kiesha King (Taylor), Senior National Education Administrator at T-Mobile and the Founder of Prevail Virtual Learning Solutions LLC

“I am thrilled to have these three new members be a part of our College Advisory Council,” emphasized Schwartz. “Dr. King has a passion for reducing and closing the digital divide for students. Ms. Boyd brings a wealth of experience with college access and educational equity and Ms. Costis’ agency helps people move from the streets, into jobs and safe, stable housing. I believe each of these individuals will play an important role in assisting the College of Public Service in meeting our mission.”
