The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) College of Business Career Center hosted their second Mock Interview Day event, April 12-14. Several industry recruiters and business professionals conducted practice interviews for students in the Career Center office.

"Attending the College of Business Mock Interview allowed for a complete evaluation of my skills in preparation for a real professional interview," said Osman Castro, BBA Accounting '17.

Each interview lasted approximately 30 minutes and included feedback from the interviewer. "After attending the mock interview, I gained more confidence and insight on how to answer difficult questions about myself and my desired career choice, along with making a valuable contact," remarked Malek Hoderi, BBA Finance '17. "However, the most important thing I learned is that securing a job goes beyond extraordinary credentials and the ink on my resume—recruiters were looking for personality."

More than 40 students attended the event. Recruiters included representatives from Satellite Logistics Group, Wells Fargo, Valic, Zurich Insurance, Enterprise Holdings, Inspired HR Consulting and Mass Mutual.
