COB Celebrates 20 Years of Accreditation

The UHD College of Business celebrated a remarkable 20 years of accreditation, as well as the announcement of it's recent five-year accreditation extension, through AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than 5 percent of the world's business programs. Today, there are 694 business schools in 45 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation.

For the celebration, the College provided faculty and staff with a delicious barbecue lunch and live entertainment from a sax musician.

Dean Michael Fields, Interim Provost Ed Hugetz and President Bill Flores took turns congratulating the College on this great success and thanking faculty and staff for their hard work.

COB faculty Madeline Johnson and Kurt Stanberry read brief observations submitted by faculty on their thoughts of the AACSB review. Comments ranged from "proud" to "exhausting."
