It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Christopher Kaio, UHD's director of Disability Services.

In his short tenure at UHD, he led many efforts to improve the quality of life for all disabled students, faculty, staff and visitors on campus.

"The UHD family has lost a valued member this morning with the passing of Christopher Kaio," said UHD President Bill Flores. "He will be greatly missed on our campus for his valued insight, friendship and passion for serving disabled individuals. Please keep his family, friends and UHD colleagues in your thoughts during this difficult time."

Funeral arrangements currently are pending.
