Spring Commencement Events This Week!

UHD’s 74th Commencement Is May 20 @ NRG Stadium

Spring is in the air and that can mean only one thing for our graduating seniors: UHD’s 74th Commencement Ceremony is right around the corner!

Plans are underway to honor our graduating undergraduate and graduate students on Saturday, May 20, at NRG Stadium in two ceremonies:

  • 11 a.m.
    Marilyn Davies College of Business
    College of Sciences & Technology 
     
  •  4 p.m. 
    College of Humanities & Social Sciences 
    College of Public Service.

We know it has been a long journey for our soon-to-be graduates—not to mention finals are on the horizon—but do make time for the following events to celebrate yourselves! Let the countdown begin …

Wednesday, April 12
Veterans Stole Ceremony
1 p.m.
Our military community’s Spring 2023 graduates will be recognized by the Office of Veterans Services with special veterans stoles.

Grad Fair
3 p.m.
Students graduating in the Spring 2023 Ceremony are invited to this very special event in the Academic Building, A300, to decorate caps and gowns, participate in mock interviews, and get assistance with their résumés.

Saturday, April 15
10 a.m.
Ring Ceremony
Put a ring on it! Learn more about the Spring 2023 Ring Ceremony.

Thursday, April 27
7 p.m.
Commencement Orientation
This virtual orientation will provide all  the ceremony details and graduation expectations that you will need to know!

Thursday, May 18
6:30 p.m.
Graduate Hooding Ceremony
Graduates earning their master’s degrees will be recognized during this special ceremony in the Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center.
