CCESL Reaching Out to Recent Grads for AmeriCorp Vista Program

The UHD Center for Community Engagement & Service Learning (CCESL) is reaching out to recent UHD graduates who may be interested in participating in participating in a Community Engagement Work-Study Internship Development program with AmeriCorp VISTA.

VISTA’s role will be to develop partnerships between the UHD community and local nonprofit organizations to implement internship positions, develop a database of possible grant vendors and library of templates for responses on grant applications, and assist with grant writing for funding of internships. These positions will provide temporary, part-time employment to UHD students with a financial need and meet the needs of the community through designated partner organizations in Houston that focus on low-income neighborhoods.

For more information, email ccesl@uhd.edu or visit the AmeriCorps VISTA website.
