Campus Community Invited to Election Events

0218_001One of the most contentious and controversial election cycles in American history will come to a conclusion on Tuesday, Nov. 8, as voters elect the next President of the United States.

To celebrate this important milestone of democracy, the Black Student Association at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) will host an Election Watch Party on Nov. 8 in UHD's Student Activities Room (S204). The party will begin at 7 p.m. This event is open to the campus community.

The day following the election, the Center for Public Deliberation, Walk 2 Vote and UHD's Cultural Enrichment Center will host the Post-Election Breakfast Reflection. The UHD community is invited to chat about the outcome of the election and follow two ground rules: talk to someone you don't know and counter any negativity with positive comments. This event will begin at 9 a.m., Nov. 9 in the UHD Coffee House area.
