Call for Presentations and Displays for HIP Showcase

The High Impact Practices Subcommittee would like to invite faculty and staff who have instituted HIPs in UHD courses or through extra- or co-curricular educational experiences for UHD students to share displays or brief presentations with the UHD community as part of the third annual UHD Showcase of High-Impact Practices, scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2014. The morning session will run from 10 - 11:30 a.m. in the foyer outside the Special Event Rooms (A300), and the afternoon session will run from 1- 3 p.m. in the auditorium. Coordinating this event with the Student Research Conference held the same day heightens awareness of UHD student accomplishments.

Faculty and staff displays are invited for the morning session and faculty and staff presentations are invited for the afternoon session The afternoon session may be extended, with time slots ranging from 10 to 15 minutes, depending on how many proposals are received and accepted. Student involvement in the displays and presentations is strongly encouraged. For more information about high-impact practices, see http://library.uhd.edu/highimpact. If time constraints don't allow acceptance of all proposals, selections will be made by the High Impact Practices Subcommittee based on representation of a variety of departments and types of HIPs.
