Call for Perspectives from the Field for Journal of Family Strengths
The Center for Public Service and Family Strengths at UHD, in coordination with Children At Risk and the Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library, invited faculty and staff to submit a Perspective from the Field on Community and Service for the 14th issue of the Journal of Family Strengths, formerly the Family Preservation Journal, to be released in fall 2014.
This journal is the only academic journal at UHD and is indexed by the Texas Medical Center Library.
The 14th issue, Family Engagement, Support and Capacity Building for the 21st Century, will focus on research that addresses prevention and early intervention with diverse families in diverse communities. Alongside original research contributions, we will showcase practitioners' firsthand experience within the implementation of the issue's theme.
Submissions should be about 1,000 words and detail your experience and opinion regarding prevention and early intervention with diverse families in diverse communities. Articles are due Aug. 1, 2014 and will then undergo a review process the following month.
