Enterprising business students, along with business lecturer Leonie Karkoviata, visited the Federal Reserve Bank for a recruiting event on Thursday, Jan. 31.

The event, The Fed and You, is a dual recruiting and networking opportunity that area universities can attend. Students are able to learn about the Federal Reserve Bank and its role in the economy, in addition to summer internships and employment opportunities.

Participating UHD students included Keane Le Pham, Miguel Elias, Ulises Tovar and Yeison Peralta.

During the event, Tovar won a prize for correctly answering a question about monetary policy and accepted the award from Federal Reserve Bank Vice President Donald Bowers. Also, UHD was one of four universities (out of 11 attending) to receive the School Spirit Award.
