At the May 7 meeting of the Board of Regents, members appointed six professors emeritus. Emeritus status is granted to current and former faculty members who have made significant contributions to the University through a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching and service.

The Board of Regents is privileged to recognize the following professors for their years of dedication to the University of Houston-Downtown:
