Black History Month Events at UHD

February is Black History Month and UHD is commemorating the month with several intriguing events, including a read-in, film screening and lectures. These events are sponsored by UHD's College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Cultural Enrichment Center and the Department of English.

Events:

  • Monday, Feb. 4, 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (A300) - African-American Read-In
  • Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1-2:30 p.m. (C100) - Discovering Your African Roots: Center for Public Deliberation
  • Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1-3:30 p.m. (N1099) - Film Screening: 500 Years Later
  • Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1-3:30 p.m. (N1099) - Film Screening: The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975
  • Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1-2:30 p.m. (S350) - Diary of a Black College Student: Dr. Sophia Belay
