Arts & Humanities to Present 2016 Spring Fine Arts Festival
The Department of Arts and Humanities will present the 2016 Spring Fine Arts Festival, March 28 through April 1. The week-long celebration will include a free African dance workshop led by faculty member Jovanni Lota, a recorder choir concert led by faculty member Julie Wilson and an open-mic night of original storytelling by UHD students.
The four-day event will also feature returning engagements:

- Jazz Ensemble
- Interactive activities
- Fine Arts Internship Fair
- O'Kane Gallery Exhibit
- Chalk Drawing Event
- O'Kane Root beer Reception
- UHD Talent Show
- Opening presentation of the O'Kane Theatre's Unexpected Guest by Agatha Christie

Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Warren Lehrer Gallery, O'Kane Gallery
Monday March 28
- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: BAFA Rally, ShoutUP! Competition, Scavenger Hunt start, North Deck.
- 6 - 7 p.m.: African Dance Workshop, Willow St. Pump Station
Tuesday, March 29
- 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Gator sidewalk chalk drawing, South Deck
- 5 - 6 p.m.: Root Beer Reception, O'Kane Gallery
- 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.: Young Sounds of Houston Jazz Orchestra and Dr. Robert Wilson's UHD Civic Jazz Orchestra, Roberston Auditorium
