Alumni Reconnected With UHD and Learned About Wine During Downtown Social Series Event

Alumni enjoyed camaraderie and wine education during a Downtown Social Series event on Friday, Nov. 8. Over 100 alumni gathered on campus to hear Lisa Morano, Department of Natural Sciences chair and wine researcher, speak about the history, varieties and evaluation of wine.

Morano encouraged attendees to sample the nine wine varieties available to determine characteristics including aroma, flavor, dryness and more.

Jaha Williams, director of individual giving and alumni relations, stated that the event was a great success and encouraged alumni to continue reconnecting with the University.
