Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society Receives National Recognition

The UHD Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society has been awarded the 2015 Delta Gold Award for increasing its membership by 163 percent over the past year. The chapter now has about 100 members. This is third time the UHD chapter has received recognition at the national level. Last year, the organization was one of only five chapters in the nation to receive the Order of the Torch award and made history as the youngest chapter to ever receive the distinction. More recently, the chapter's advisor, Mari Nicholson-Preuss, received the Executive Director's Outstanding Advisor Award.

In October, chapter members will attend Alpha Lambda Delta's National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Membership to Alpha Lambda Delta is offered each January to first-year students who have completed their first semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
