Adopt-A-Family Program Seeking Donations for Thanksgiving Meals
The University of Houston-Downtown Police Department (UHDPD), along with the UHD Staff Council are looking to make the Thanksgiving holiday a bit brighter for local families as part of their annual Adopt-A-Family program.
In the spirit of giving back, the organizations are seeking donations now through Monday, Nov. 22 to provide a complete Thanksgiving meal with turkey, sides and beverages to Houstonians in need. Donations in the form of cash or food for the Thanksgiving meal are also being accepted. Cash donations must be sealed in an envelope with the donor’s name.
Individuals who wish to contribute to the Adopt-A-Family effort must deliver their donation to the UHDPD offices by 5 p.m. on Nov. 22. For more information or questions, contact Lt. Trinity Delafance at 281-788-7757 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
