Last week, UHD hosted the first ever Welcome Reception for admitted graduate students. The Graduate Admission Office wanted to thank the admitted students for choosing UHD and provide them with a platform to meet their fellow classmates, professors and administrators.

According to Ceshia Love, assistant director of Graduate Admission, "Our goal is to enhance their overall UHD experience!"

This semester UHD is seeing the largest admit class of the University's 40 year history with 511 students accepted. At the reception, nearly 90 students, guests, administrators, faculty and staff were present.

During the event, Certificates of Admission were presented to students to serve as visual motivators and to remind them of their accomplishment, but to not lose focus of their ultimate goal which is to earn a master's degree.
