Adjunct Professor Paul Cunningham Passed Away

Paul Francis Cunningham, UHD social sciences adjunct lecturer, passed away on January 30, 2014. He is the husband of Merrilee Cunningham, associate English professor.

Paul was a dedicated educator at H.I.S.D., Texas Southern University and UHD. He was also a proud Eagle Scout, champion swimmer, enthusiastic white water guide, Idaho Forest Service Smoke Jumper, leader of Boy Scout Troop 266, an officer in the 1963 Chicago Students for a Democratic Society, and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Colombia. He will be missed.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center.

The thoughts of the UHD community are with Paul's friends and family during this time.
