Join the Countdown to π-Time

CST_Pi DayNational π Day, a celebration of the irrational number pi, is officially celebrated on March 14, which typically falls during UHD’s Spring Break.

Thankfully for Gator students, the Department of Math & Statistics will still celebrate the holiday with its 2nd Annual All Things Pi event on Thursday, March 7, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., with a countdown to ‘piclock time’—3:14, that is.

The event will take place in ACAD A300 and will feature cotton candy, ice cream, and free pie from the famous House of Pies, with flavors like Bayou Goo and Texas Pecan.

Students will also have the chance to play pi-related games and  interact with Math & Statistics faculty in an informal setting.

For more information on All Things π, contact Susan Beane at beanes@uhd.edu or 713.221.8012.
