40th Anniversary Campaign Wins Big in Educational Advertising Awards

The University of Houston-Downtown received six honors in the 30th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report.

UHD's 40th Anniversary Campaign, a collaboration with the Richards/Carlberg advertising agency, won gold recognition in the "Total Advertising Campaign" category. The 40th anniversary logo, elevator wraps and outdoor signage were also recognized. The University's newest Ed U. Gator mascot, created by Bullpen Marketing, won a silver award.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,000 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
