This Week’s Enrollment Heroes are…

Greetings UHD Colleagues!

The two selected Heroes for this week’s Enrollment Hero Initiative are Debora Evans, Manager of Shipping, Receiving, & Mailroom, and Branden Kuzmick, Program Coordinator in University College.

“Debora Evans works in Shipping & Receiving and comes down each week to greet our incoming FTIC students; she encourages them, welcomes them, and attends the block party to dance with them. We have nicknamed her TT Debra because of the family energy she brings! I believe this energy is necessary to ensure our students feel welcomed and wanted in the Gator Family.”

“Branden Kuzmick has worked tirelessly to recruit 40-plus students for the inaugural year of the Greater Texas Foundation (GTF) Scholars program. While 40-plus might seem like a small number, Branden has provided personal attention to each and every recruit. These students are sharing their experience with Branden and UHD, which has resulted in additional students inquiring about UHD. Branden is both an Enrollment Hero and a UHD Ambassador Extraordinaire!”

Please take a moment to recognize, and personally thank, Debora and Branden for their hard work, dedication, and contributions toward UHD’s 14,500 Enrollment Challenge.

Both recipients will receive a reserved parking spot in the Girard Street Parking Garage (August 6-August 10) donated by Dr. Juan Sanchez Munoz, President of the University of Houston-Downtown, as well as a care package, T-shirt, and lapel pin from Enrollment Management.

If you’re interested in nominating colleagues as future Heroes, please submit the nomination here by noon every Thursday for consideration. As UHD continues to strive to meet the enrollment goal, I encourage everyone to take it upon yourself to individually recognize colleagues who are making a great impact toward our institutional goal.

Sincerely,

Daniel Villanueva, Jr.Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management & University Registrar
