Summer Women's Self Defense Classes
The UHD Police Department and Sports & Fitness are hosting a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) classes, from 9 a.m. to Noon, on July 6, 13, 20, 27 and 11 in the Student Life Center.
RAD, a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques, is a comprehensive course for women that begins awareness prevention, risk reduction and avoidance and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. Participants will learn:
- Defense against the most common strikes.
- Lifestyle awareness and empowerment attacks.
The classes, taught by UHD Police, are open to all female UHD students, faculty and staff. All classes must be attended to earn a certificate. Space is limited.
