April 20, marked the end of the Spring 2018 Student Government Association (SGA) election process. During the Annual One Main Event, the official results were announced by the Election Commissioner, Regina Johnson, and Election Clerks Ali Ramirez and Beatriz Tapia. This year’s SGA election featured candidates who displayed dynamic initiative and passion. In addition to voting on SGA officers, students voted on a referendum for a proposed fee increase that will be applied toward Study Abroad International Education scholarships. As a result, more than 55 percent of voters approved the initiative to increase future study abroad opportunities.
