Each spring, faculty members from each of the University of Houston-Downtown’s five colleges recognize the students who have achieved distinction through their outstanding academic performances. On May 1 and 2, academic honorees received awards specific to their respective colleges and majors, and spring graduates who are graduating with Honors took home their cords.
“These students have excelled in their academic courses, have exhibited leadership in course-related and extracurricular activities, and have generally epitomized the outstanding student body of the University,” said Edward T. Hugetz, UHD senior vice president for academic and student affairs and provost. “The University is proud to present these awards in recognition of the effort, dedication, determination and success of each recipient.”
