The Marilyn Davies College of Business is hosting a professional networking opportunity at the 9th Annual Meet the Industry event from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 19 in the Milam/Travis Rooms in the Welcome Center.

The event, created for currently enrolled business and pre-business majors, will introduce students to a variety of industries and careers for students majoring in, but not limited to, finance, business development/sales management, management information systems, supply chain, accounting, and insurance & risk management, international business, and management.

The Meet the Industry event invites students to: meet dynamic working professionals and learn how they became successful in their fields; explore careers in Houston's growth industries; and discover how to navigate the hiring process and how to create a sustainable career path.

Sponsored in part by Fastenal, the event will feature industry roundtable discussions with representatives from Fastenal, HPE, Phillips 66, Double Tree, Cole Chemical, Team Industrial Services, BBVA Compass, Home Depot, Astoundz, MRE Consulting Group, and more.

Non-refundable registration is $5 (and closes at 5 p.m. on April 17) at uhd.edu/cobcareer. Students are not required to attend all the sessions. No phone, email or walk-up registrations are accepted. Business attire is required. Refreshments will be served.
